- Caregivers provide personal care for their clients. - This could include (but is not limited to) assisting the patient with personal hygiene (toileting, bathing, care of mouth, skin, and hair), ambulation, eating, dressing, and shaving.
- You don’t have to be a gourmet chef, but you can prepare a good meal and work your way around a kitchen.
- Provide Companionship to your client / create a trusting bond with them.
- Play games and engage with your client
- Provide assistance with everyday living tasks
- Light Housekeeping - mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dishes, taking out the garbage
- Caregivers may run errands for client and/or provide transportation to clients if they have appointments, need to do some grocery shopping, or even if they want to go for a drive. Don't worry - we pay for your mileage when you drive your clients in your vehicle!
- High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate
- Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, and the ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
- Read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
- Have a valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation
